How to get rid of leg cramps

⚡ Immediate Relief (During a Cramp)

Stretch the muscle gently

For calf cramps: straighten your leg and pull your toes toward you.

For thigh cramps: hold your ankle and gently pull your heel toward your buttocks.

Massage the area

Rub the cramped muscle gently with your hands to improve blood flow.

Apply heat or cold

Heat: relaxes tight muscles (use a warm towel or heating pad).

Cold: reduces pain (use an ice pack for a few minutes).

Stand up and walk slowly

Gentle movement helps relax the cramp faster.
